Overview
Ruby is an experienced attorney in the firm's Investment Management practice, where she advises institutional investors on the negotiation, structuring and execution of a wide range of alternative investment transactions.
Ruby primarily concentrates in domestic and international investments for public and private institutional investors across a range of alternative investments including private equity funds, hedge funds, commingled funds and separate accounts, and collective investment trusts. She regularly assists clients in conducting investment due diligence, reviewing and negotiating fund governing documents and evaluating market terms across asset classes, drawing on her experience working across both established managers and emerging fund sponsors.
In addition to her transactional practice, Ruby currently serves as co-chair of the firm’s Joint Minority Mentorship Program (JMMP), working alongside a wide network of community partners – including Washington’s minority bar associations, law schools, leading law firms, judges and corporate legal departments – to support meaningful mentorship relationships for law students and early-career lawyers from historically underrepresented communities. In her role, Ruby helps coordinate firm-hosted JMMP events and collaborates with leaders across the Seattle legal community to strengthen professional development pathways and promote a more inclusive and accessible legal profession.
