Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that our partner Robert S. Goldsmith has been named to New Jersey Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill’s Interdisciplinary Advisory Task Force, a component of her incoming administration’s Transition Action Team.

Announced on November 26, 2025, the task force brings together leaders from across New Jersey—including labor, business, veterans, healthcare, education, and environmental sectors—to provide practical, real-world perspectives as the administration shapes policy priorities.

Bob, who co-chairs the firm’s redevelopment & land use practice, brings to the Sherrill administration the knowledge gained from decades of experience representing private and public sector clients in major redevelopment projects, including a $500+ million transit-oriented redevelopment in Hoboken, a $400+ million downtown revitalization in Morristown, and the creation of New Jersey’s first Revenue Allocation District for the City of Millville, which established a model for modern redevelopment financing statewide.

On his appointment to the task force, Bob commented: “I am proud to have been invited to participate and look forward to engaging with the new administration on housing, development, redevelopment, and incentive policy.”

A recognized leader in New Jersey’s redevelopment sector, Bob is Band 1–ranked by Chambers USA for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use and has been consistently listed in Best Lawyers in America and New Jersey Super Lawyers. He has argued precedent-setting cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of leading municipal and planning organizations, clarifying the statutory limits of municipal redevelopment designations and defining the lawful scope of Special Improvement District (SID) assessments, with statewide impact on redevelopment financing and planning policy.

Beyond his legal practice, Bob is a Director and Past President of Downtown New Jersey, a Trustee of New Jersey Future, a member of the New Jersey Committee of the Regional Plan Association, a member and former Legislative Committee Co-Chair of NAIOP New Jersey, and a member of the New Jersey Builders Association and the Counselors of Real Estate New Jersey Chapter.
