We are pleased to announce that Laura Leahy has joined our Labor, Employment & Immigration Service Group as senior counsel in Chicago.
Laura advises clients across all industries with their employment litigation and counseling needs. She takes a collaborative, partnership-based approach to build crucial partnerships with those she represents. Laura has experience advising on wage and hour disputes, discrimination, wrongful termination, workplace investigations, and labor and union relations. She is a seasoned litigator with deep experience representing individuals and entities before federal, state, and local agencies as well as human resources and personnel boards.
Prior to joining the firm, Laura was assistant general counsel for a union, where she led and built the organization’s legal department and negotiated multi-million dollar collective bargaining agreements. She was a criminal prosecutor for more than a decade.
She received her B.A. from Elmhurst University and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
