Overview
Erika’s practice is focused entirely on counseling insurers on complex coverage and other insurance related matters at the claim stage and in litigation. She concentrates her insurance coverage practice on personal, commercial, and professional lines of insurance and handles coverage matters in the areas of business liability, homeowners and renters liability, underinsured/uninsured motorist claims, mass tort, construction, environmental, personal and commercial auto, and professional liability.
Erika routinely counsels and represents insurers regarding extra-contractual and bad faith claims. She provides coverage opinions, negotiates coverage disputes at the pre-litigation stage, handles all aspects of coverage litigation on behalf of insurance companies, and participates in settlement negotiations and mediations.
For insurers in the commercial transportation industry, Erika counsels insurers on issues of coverage and contractual indemnification, conducts examinations under oath, and assists in all aspects of fraud investigation.
When Erika is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is also active with Junior Achievement, a nationwide program that helps students see the connection between what they learn in school and the real world, with an emphasis on money management.
