Overview
Greg is a Chicago-based estate planning attorney with more than 30 years of experience advising individuals and families throughout Illinois. He concentrates his practice on estate planning, trust formation, family business succession planning, asset protection, charitable planning, and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
Greg regularly represents high-net-worth business owners, executives, philanthropists, professional athletes, and multigenerational family enterprises across Chicago and Illinois. He works in partnership with his clients’ other advisors to develop and administer sophisticated multigenerational succession plans that emphasize wealth preservation, asset protection, and tax minimization.
Greg also has extensive experience guiding clients through Illinois probate and trust administration. He represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested and uncontested probate estates and trust disputes.
In addition to his client work, Greg is a frequent speaker and author on advanced estate planning topics, including complex trust structures, charitable organizations and foundations, and life insurance strategies for high-net-worth families.
Before entering private legal practice, Greg worked as a trust administrator for large, multigenerational trusts and as a wealth manager with a global investment management firm—experience that continues to inform his pragmatic, financially grounded approach to client representation.
Beyond his legal practice, Greg has advised numerous local and national charitable organizations and has served on nonprofit boards focused on social justice, the arts, and community development.
