Decoding the FAR Overhaul
Recent Executive actions, including Executive Order 14275, “Restoring Common Sense to Federal Procurement,” have set the stage for a comprehensive overhaul of the Government’s acquisition system. In response, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) has undergone its first phase of revision under the “Revolutionary FAR Overhaul” (RFO) process to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency within federal agencies. Now that the first phase of the RFO has completed, it’s a perfect time to both look back on the overhaul and forward to the next phase of the reform effort.
This Boot Camp will review:

The Administration’s process for revising the FAR, DFARS, and other agency supplements to the FAR and the status of those revisions;

Significant changes to the FAR and how those changes may affect contractors;

Understanding the FAR Companion and other guidance documents that have been issued as part of the overhaul process; and

What to expect going forward.
