EPA Risk Evaluations Under TSCA: What’s at Stake and How to Prepare
On May 3, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) final rule on procedures for chemical risk evaluation under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) was published in the Federal Register. In the words of EPA’s Assistant Administrator, this rule “was a big step for TSCA.”
This webinar will summarize key changes and what’s at stake for manufacturers, importers, processors, and users of chemicals under risk evaluation. The risk findings for the chemical, the assumption that no PPE is used, and the potential use of categories and aggregate exposures, coupled with the hefty fees, will significantly impact manufacturers, processors, and users. The session will close with the collective views and recommendations from these two experienced practitioners on what companies can do to prepare for the challenges ahead.
