Dot Powell-Woodson Appointed to AHLA’s Fellows Coordinating Council
Dorthula H. Powell-Woodson, chair of Wiley’s Health Care Practice, has been appointed to the American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) Fellows Coordinating Council, effective July 1, 2026.
Powell-Woodson will serve a three-year term on the Council, which helps shape AHLA's educational programming and Fellows program.
An AHLA Fellow since 2020, Powell-Woodson has held multiple leadership roles within the organization, including on its Board of Directors, the Editorial Board of the Journal of Health and Life Sciences Law, and as co-chair of the Diversity & Leadership Council. She also served as co-Editor in Chief of Health Care Contracts: A Clause-by-Clause Guide to Drafting and Negotiation, a widely used publication offering practical guidance on complex health care agreements.
The AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field.
