Wiley Advises Alpha Media in Completed Acquisition by Connoisseur Media

Washington, DC – Alpha Media has completed its acquisition by Connoisseur Media. Wiley served as regulatory and corporate transactional counsel to Alpha Media in the deal.

As part of the transaction, which closed on September 4, Connoisseur acquired Alpha’s 200 broadcast radio stations serving 44 markets across the United States. Connoisseur also acquired Alpha’s stock and assumed its outstanding debt and liabilities.

On August 13, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted final approval of the merger, clearing the way for the transaction to close. Wiley advised Alpha Media throughout the review process.

The Wiley team representing Alpha was led by Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) Practice co-chair Kathleen A. Kirby, with partners Jessica N. Rosenthal and Craig Sperling, as well as Corporate Practice chair Daniel B. Hassett. Senior specialist Jill Franzen also assisted the team.
