Wiley Advises Intelsat in $3.1 Billion Satellite Merger with SES

Washington, DC – Wiley served as regulatory counsel to Intelsat, a U.S.-based satellite communications provider, in its $3.1 billion merger with SES, a leading global space solutions company.

The transaction, now complete, brings together two of the world's major satellite providers, creating a strengthened global provider with an expanded fleet of 120 satellites across two orbits. The combined company will deliver integrated multi-orbit, multi-band satellite and connectivity solutions to businesses and governments around the globe.

Wiley advised its longtime client Intelsat on obtaining complex communications regulatory approval.

The Wiley team was led by Jennifer D. Hindin, chair of the firm’s Space and Satellite Group, and partner Henry Gola.
